Mark your calendars for our next Fun Friday field trip! On Friday, 4/6, we are heading to Old Town Sacramento and the Railroad Museum! Meet us at the resource center at 8 am sharp, and we will return at approximately 4 pm. We will tour Old Town Sacramento and the free Railroad Museum. Students should bring $15, or more, for lunch. Also note that the resource center will still be open for students who are not attending the field trip. Hope to see you there!

The best thing I like about Pivot is the teachers that really care about you. And sometimes they are even funny. What I like about my EC is she really cares about me when I'm down or when I’m up. She cracks me up with her jokes and she helps me learn how to overcome all the stress that I had because I was always thinking I wouldn’t graduate. I give all of my thanks to her because she helped me overcome my stress and fear and I WILL graduate.

The flexibility has been lifesaving, especially this year. I don’t know how we would have managed to give enough support with two full-time working parents if our son’s schedule hadn’t been so flexible. My son also loves that there is no time-wasting “busy work” that takes up so much of a standard school day. For a kid with ADHD and only so much bandwidth to focus, he found it really frustrating using up that energy on tasks that seem designed to fill time or drill on skills he’d already mastered. We love Pivot!
