This fall, Pivot is proud to spotlight Hunter Stapko (he/they), a dedicated and multi-talented student who exemplifies the power of personalized education. Since enrolling at Pivot in 2021, Hunter has demonstrated incredible passion and growth in both academic achievement and performing arts.
A gifted performer, Hunter has taken part in an impressive 16 musical theater productions over the past few years. From special effects and stage makeup to bass guitar and acting, their commitment to theater and performance has stood out to staff and peers alike.
“I’ve had the pleasure of attending a few of Hunter’s performances,” shared Site Administrator Alex Ritz. “It’s been incredible to watch their growth into an excellent actor!”
In addition to excelling in theater, Hunter also thrives academically. Last fall, they completed their first college-level course in Astronomy through Santa Rosa Junior College. This year, they are continuing to challenge themselves by enrolling in a course on Computer Modeling and Animation.
Hunter credits Pivot’s flexible and student-centered model with helping them pursue both their academic and creative endeavors simultaneously. “I love how Pivot gives me agency in my education while also enabling me to pursue my passions,” Hunter shared.
